Meinke Garden Center

If you haven’t been to Meinke’s Garden Center, make your way to it.  Located at 5803 W Touhy Ave in Niles just west of I 94, it’s a family run place with many of their plants grown from seed in greenhouses.  The variety of plants from herbs/veggies/annuals/perennials/roses/grasses as well as compost/straw/soil/containers/trellis is great.   Needless to say I love it here, and it’s easy to end up with a lot more than you planned on getting.  This weekend I picked up a foxglove, lavender, and seed geranium.  (Need more persuasion, take a look at its yelp reviews)
