Delicious and troublesome. Introduced to us from Europe, dandelions were brought here to provide food for imported honeybees. Most people find them pesky. They’ve got a long tap root, so get a dandelion weeder to pull them out of the ground. If you let the composite flower go to seed, you can expect many more yellow buddies.
If you find them delicious, pick the leaves before they flower. Expect a bitter taste.
