Today, although a little cool (59 degrees in June??), I took a bike ride along the Lake Shore Bike Path. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Nature Boardwalk at the Lincoln Park Zoo just full of life. False indigo and coreopsis was in bloom.
Red winged black birds were flying about. Ducks were enjoying the pond. It was extremely peaceful. I highly suggest stopping by and walking the circumference of the pond. There are educational plaques along the walk, so you learn a little something. It gives us a glimpse to what our boggy Chicago may have been like before us.
